About this Event

Join us for a celebration of Cole Brauer — the first American woman to sail solo, nonstop, and unassisted around the world — as she launches her memoir, First Light: Sailing Solo but Not Alone.

Come meet Cole, hear the story behind the voyage, and get your copy signed. It's an open, come-and-go evening, so drop in when you can and stay as long as you like.

The evening

• 5:00 – 6:30 · Book signing & mingling: Doors open. Meet Cole, get your book signed, and settle in.
• 6:30 – 7:00 · In Her Own Words: Cole shares a few words and reads a short excerpt from First Light.
• 7:00 – 11:00 · Mingling & Dancing: Keep the night going. DJ Hope will be spinning tunes for us to light up the dance floor.

Copies of First Light will be available to buy on site, along with Cole Brauer Ocean Racing gear. Passed hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be keep you fed and hydrated..

Your ticket includes entry to the event and the program. Books, merch, and drinks are available for purchase separately.
