CUNY Hunter Latinx Heritage Month Celebration: Dreaming and the City

Join the Department of Africana, Puerto Rican, and Latino Studies at Hunter College–CUNY and the Evergreen Initiative at The Action Lab NY for an evening celebrating Latinx Heritage Month through art, storytelling, and community.

The evening will feature Dreaming and the City, a new one-woman play by Amalia Oliva Rojas, an artist, playwright, and community-rooted storyteller. Through a dynamic solo performance, Amalia explores the immigrant experience, identity, belonging, memory, and the complexities of navigating life between cultures and generations. The play invites audiences to consider what it means to carry home with you while creating a new sense of place, possibility, and belonging.
