First Coin of Floriade
Celebrate the first day of Floriade About Town with us and be in the running to mint the very first Coin of Floriade featuring our special ACT bluebell privy mark — a limited-time design available for four weeks only.

From 7:30am, visitors will receive a free numbered wristband, with one number drawn at random. The lucky winner will be invited to mint the very first coin featuring the ACT bluebell privy mark, presented in a specially designed display frame.
For the first time, we’re changing one of our gallery coin presses mid-year to the special ACT bluebell privy mark, available for four weeks only during Floriade About Town.
While you’re here, explore our temporary exhibition, Floral Impressions: Coins in Bloom, and join a free floral-inspired tour to discover the flowers and floral designs featured on Australian coins.
Stop by the Mint Café to indulge in special Floriade-inspired treats and enjoy a taste of spring during your visit.
Can’t make it on 12 September?
The celebrations continue throughout Floriade About Town from 12 September to 11 October, with the limited-edition ACT bluebell privy mark coin press, Floral Impressions: Coins in Bloom exhibition, free floral-inspired tours and Floriade-inspired café treats to discover throughout the month.
