Join us on 7/19 for the first ever Legends of Darts Charity Draft 301 Tournament!!
**THERE IS A TON OF INFORMATION IN HERE - PLEASE READ**
We will be honoring 6 men that have made a huge impact to many of us in the dart world and so much for the greater dart community. This was originally set at 5, we've added a 6th team honoring Jan "Stack" Stachowicz (if I spelled this incorrectly, please forgive me and do not beat me up) in addition to Steve "Brillo" Miller, Fred "Ratt" Roden, Rex Davis, Scott "Big NDN" Doxtater, and Ray "Tex" Trent.
So far we have Dave "Monkey" Handel, Geno, and Randy Steinberg slated as 3 of our 6 team captains - invitations are in the process of being extended to a few others as well. We're going to have to drag Pete "Killer" Kielbasa out to be one of our captains as well - so feel free to start harassing him! If you have recommendations or would like to be a captain, please reach out to me (Andrew Kunna) for consideration!

**Draft Party at MJ's Backyard Bar on 7/12**
--Teams will be "drafted" via randomizer wheel so that we can ensure even A/B/C/D draw across all teams
--I'm contemplating live streaming this for those that cannot make it - would love feedback on this!
**Format**
6 Legend Teams:
--Team Rex, Team Tex, Team Big NDN, Team Brillo, Team Ratt, Team Stack
Each Legend Team will have 5, 4-person teams within it
--Example:
----Within Team Rex, there will be Rex 1, Rex 2, Rex 3, Rex 4, Rex 5
----Same for all 6 Legend Teams
----Rex 1 will play Brillo 1, Tex 1, Big NDN 1, Stack 1, and Ratt 1 in round robin format (think city or state tournament format)
--Each match will be 5 games of 301 Open In/Open Out
The Legends team with the most overall wins for the day will win the tournament and split the prize money.
In the event of a tie, we will have a captains shoot off - Captains can choose to shoot it or choose a proxy shooter from their team.
**THIS EVENT IS CAPPED AT 120 SHOOTERS - FIRST COME FIRST SERVE**
--$40 Entry Per Shooter
--Entry fee includes team T-Shirt and rest goes to 1st place winnings
**OPEN NOW-6/30**
--Legends Tournament Count-Up Challenge
--Participation available at all ADI locations
--$2 to play, unlimited plays available
----$0.25 of $2 will pay for game
----$1.75 will go towards pool
----Pool will be split in half
----1/2 of the pot will pay out our top three scores
----In the event of a tie, we will schedule a count up shoot-off between shooters to establish 1st, 2nd, 3rd
----The other 1/2 of the pot will go towards prizes for donations at Legends tournament
--TO PLAY:
----Go to "Tournament Mode" on any ADI Dart Board
----Select "Victory Ranked Series"
----Select "Legends Count Up Challenge"
----Log In with Hot Button OR Bullshooter App QR Scan
--Winners will be announced (and paid) at Legends Tourney
**Do not need to be present at tourney to collect prize money**
We will also have a trophy with Team Name and Captain Name engraved for each year
If you have photos, memorabilia, or anything else from any of the gentleman we're honoring, I will be setting up a table that people can look through and I'm planning to hang photo copies on the dart boards as well - please get ahold of me to drop off ahead of time, or feel free to bring the day of the event as well.
We will have raffles and prizes for this event - I will post them as we collect moving forward - diving in head first on 3/1. Please let me know if you are interested in making a donation or supplying a prize or gift basket - ADI will be providing some prizes and I will be reaching out to our ADI locations to see who might be interested in helping sponsor the event.
Huge thank you to Mad Apple for helping with team shirts, MJ's Backyard Bar for hosting our draft party and tournament the weekend before this event, Lucky Dogz for hosting, and all of the friends and families that have reached out and shared pictures, stories and memorabilia to honor these 6 men.
All proceeds are being donated to the American Heart Association per Diane Davis recommendation - I'm not sure if there is a specific chapter or the overall organization that we will be syncing up with - more to come on this as well!
If you're interested in helping with raffles, 50/50, donation collection, running tournament, set up, etc. please let me know - this is going to be a heavy lift to do on my own, so I will happily take all the help I can get to make this event as amazing as possible.
Although shooters are capped at 120 - I want to pack this building and make it a day we all remember!
