Fireside Chat with Perry Patraszewski from Ministry of Mushrooms (MOM)

From a 7-figure hair salon exit to building Ministry of Mushrooms (MOM), his longevity-focused brand, Perry Patraszewski’s story is shaped by the pursuit of freedom and a deeper purpose. Born in a small Polish town, he chose hairdressing as the fastest path to independence, eventually moving to London at 21 without speaking English. With some savings and a co-founder, he opened Blue Tit, a single East London salon that grew to 11 locations and nearly £6 million in annual revenue before selling his majority stake in 2021.

After stepping away, Perry began questioning what purpose looks like after reaching one’s goals. He was drawn to mushrooms and longevity as he watched more people struggle with stress and declining wellbeing. That led to the launch of MOM, a brand and education hub crafting cold-pressed functional elixirs powered by mushrooms, adaptogens, and plants. Through MOM, Perry is developing products designed to support focus, balance, and long-term wellbeing. The brand operates a shop in Lisbon, partners with more than 15 retailers including Nuua, Fable, Sublime, Healthy Horizon, and The Co-Collective, and has taken part in major European accelerators at Unicorn Factory Lisboa.
