This 2 day workshop with New Zealand based ceramic artist Fiona Tunnicliffe will inspire you to create your own whimsical animal inspired by her techniques.
A specialist in slab sculpted ceramics, Fiona's distinctive sculptures possess detailed texture, relief work and surface treatments demonstrating her mastery of clay, reflecting her keen observation and love of animals and wildlife.
With over 30 years experience (and many workshops under her belt) Fiona's work celebrates humor, narrative, and technical excellence in ceramics.
Join Coastal ClayMakers for a fabulous hands on learning experience over 2 days, at CHEC TAFE Campus in the new Ceramic Studios V BLOCK.
Clay is NOT included in the ticket price. White Raku or other grogged clay suitable for sculpture is recommended. You can buy clay on the day from TAFE if needed.
Firing of work is not included in the workshop fee, you will need to organise your own firing. Bring along a box to transport your work home and consider that you may need to deconstruct your piece. Alternatively, enjoy the expeience and treat your piece as ephemeral!
