Join us for a day of reflection, learning, and renewal at our one-day retreat, Finding Peace Within, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Providence Renewal Centre.
In a world that can often feel busy, uncertain, and overwhelming, cultivating inner peace is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves and others. This retreat welcomes individuals from all backgrounds who wish to explore practical tools for developing greater calm, clarity, resilience, and well-being in their daily lives.
The retreat will be guided by Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe, Spiritual Director of Gaden Samten Ling Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Society. Throughout the day, Kushok will share practical and accessible teachings rooted in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition that can be integrated into any spiritual path or way of life.
The day begins with an introduction to meditation, offering participants a foundation for understanding mindfulness and how meditation can be applied in everyday life. Following the introduction, participants will enjoy an extended Outdoor Meditation Session, providing an opportunity to cultivate awareness, presence, and mental clarity while surrounded by the peaceful natural environment of Providence Renewal Centre.
Participants will then have the opportunity to engage in mindful movement through a one-hour Yoga Class led by Kari Stange. Suitable for all experience levels, the session is designed to support relaxation, flexibility, and a deeper connection between body and mind.
After lunch, participants will be invited to experience a Guided Walking Meditation in the outdoor labyrinth. This contemplative practice offers a unique opportunity to combine movement, mindfulness, and connection with nature while deepening one's meditation experience.
A special feature of the retreat will be Kushok's Analytical Meditation Class. In this extended teaching session, participants will learn how to work skillfully with the mind through contemplation and inquiry, exploring practical methods for transforming difficult emotions, cultivating wisdom, and developing greater inner stability and peace.
The retreat concludes with a question-and-answer session, allowing participants to explore aspects of their meditation practice, ask questions about the teachings, and receive personalized guidance from Kushok.
Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to enjoy the beautiful gardens, walking paths, and peaceful surroundings of Providence Renewal Centre, as well as browse our pop-up bookstore and gift shop during scheduled breaks.
Whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice, this retreat offers a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with yourself, deepen your understanding of meditation, and cultivate lasting peace from within.
