Find Your Creative Voice: A Mixed Media Art Workshop

In this hands-on art workshop, you'll explore the expressive world of mixed media art: painting, layering, and experimenting with a variety of materials to create a finished piece that reflects your own creative voice. The session kicks off with a short intro to mixed media art, the materials you'll be working with, and a few inspiring examples to get your imagination going. You will be guided to dive straight in with colour to set the mood for your piece — then choose your motif from stencils or simple reference images like birds, butterflies, trees, or mountains, sketch and paint your main image, and layer and experiment with materials like string, pastels, markers, newsprint, and watercolor to add depth and texture.

This workshop is recommended for adults and teens who are curious, creative, and ready to try something hands-on — no experience required. Whether you're looking to explore a new medium, carve out some time for yourself, or spend a creative afternoon with a friend, you'll find your place here.
