Financial District Walking Tour - Architecture Foundation of BC
About this Event
The Financial District Tour explores how architecture reflects the economic, political and cultural forces that shape the city. While walking along Hastings Street, Burrard Street, and West Georgia Street, we will visit some of Vancouver's most significant office buildings and public spaces to examine how the city's central business district has evolved over the past century.
While the Downtown Tour focuses on Vancouver's urban evolution, the Financial District Tour examines the institutions, commerce, and landmark buildings that have shaped the city's identity. Along the way, the tour explores architectural design, sustainability, and the changing role of office towers and public spaces in defining Vancouver's skyline and economic centre.
The tours are 2 hours long, beginning in the historic Financial District and ending along West Georgia Street.
