Join Financial Advocate Candy Smejkal to learn how financial advocacy can improve cancer care. This session is ideal for patients, caregivers or anyone interested in learning how to navigate the financial side of a cancer diagnosis.
Topics include:
• Explanation of benefits.
• Common insurance terms and what they really mean.
• Ways to reduce out-of-pocket costs.
• How to support patients facing financial barriers.
Because no one should face cancer—and confusing paperwork—alone.
When: Tuesday, Aug. 19, noon to 1 p.m.
Where: Pastega Regional Cancer Center (ground floor conference room) 441 NW Elks Drive, Corvallis
Who: Open to patients, caregivers and community members.
