Captured through stunning cinematography, this remarkable film reveals the extraordinary micro-world of biological relationships that exist within our fields and crops. Pollinating insects — especially honeybees — are a vital part of nature’s machinery, with up to 75% of the fruit and vegetables we eat relying directly on pollinators.
Yet pollinators face increasing threats from climate change, habitat loss, disease, pests, and pesticide use, with many insect species now critically endangered.

Discover the tiny but incredible world of Australia’s native bees. From the iconic Blue Banded Bee to the often-overlooked Reed Bees, Australia is home to almost 2,000 species of native bees buzzing through our bushland and gardens.
This entertaining and informative film shines a spotlight on these amazing pollinators — from stingless honey makers and solo super-pollinators to the quirky species that “headbutt” flowers into submission!
Special Guest Speaker – Mark Rose
Following the screenings, local bee enthusiast and educator Mark Rose will share his personal journey with bees and explain how bees and native pollinators can benefit every garden.

How to make your garden more bee-friendly
The important role native pollinators play in biodiversity
The benefits of welcoming bees into your backyard
A selection of local honey and handmade bee-related products will also be available for purchase, including:
