FiliRooted: Pamana Kids Workshop: Living Traditions and language for Future Generation
(Capitol Modern Multi-Function Room, 10AM to 12NN)
Join Aunty Ime (Imelda Gasmen, Language Professor at UH Mānoa) for a fun and engaging workshop where keiki explore Filipino heritage through storytelling, language expressions, songs, and a traditional game. In the second hour, children will participate in an interactive activity that lets them create, move, and share what they’ve learned, keeping our living traditions alive for the next generation. This workshop is a joyful and immersive way for kids to grow FiliRooted in culture and community.
