About this Event
Do you want to feel more confident drawing the human figure? Curious about improving proportions and gesture of your drawings but not sure where to begin? Do you love drawing from life—or want to try it for the first time? This full-day workshop is for you.
Fearless fundamentals at their best! Through a series of engaging, fast-paced drawing exercises, we’ll explore the essentials of human proportions, gesture, and basic structure. We will work first from photographic references and then from a live nude model.
We will focus on developing a strong sense of proportion, movement, and rhythm while keeping the process loose and approachable. Through short poses and guided demonstrations, you’ll practice seeing the figure as a whole rather than getting lost in details. Emphasis will be placed on observation, confidence of line, and building a solid foundation for figure drawing from life.
This workshop is for artists of all levels and no prior experience with figure drawing is required. While prior drawing experience would be helpful, it is also not required.
Model fees are included.
