Fifth Element at La Rev!

Fifth Element’s repertoire draws from the Great American Songbook and

jazz standards covering the swing, ballad, latin and hard bop genres, and

some pop classics. The ensemble’s goal is to draw the audience in with

accessible, engaging musical treatments.

Meet these seasoned performers: vocalist Nina Richmond, backed by

drummer Glenn Anderson, bassist Ron Johnston, pianist Jack Gelbloom

and Kurt Lund on various woodwinds. They perform original

arrangements by former beloved leader Dave Coules, current band

members and others.

Having held steady residencies at venues including Gate 403, 120 Diner

and Reid’s Distillery, this ensemble appears regularly at venues such as

the Jazz Lounge at Old Mill Toronto and The Jazz Room in Waterloo, and

recently at The Rex.
