Desde que en el 2016 fue inaugurada la Escuela Internacional de Música Contemporánea de la UNPHU, el Dominican Fiesta Hotel y Jazz en Dominicana a través de su reconocido espacio Fiesta Sunset Jazz, ha venido haciendo variadas presentaciones de sus profesores y estudiantes. El pasado 5 de diciembre, el Fiesta Sunset Jazz presentó la fuera de serie entrega titulada: Concierto de intercambio Cultural UNPHU Music & HFMT - Invierno 2025. Noche en la que un especial ensemble mixto de estudiantes de RD y de la Hochschule für Musik und Theater de Hamburgo (Alemania), en el país para el período de intercambio entre dicha institución y la UNPHU.
Para esta especial fecha en abril, el Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Jazz en Dominicana celebrarán, por decimoquinto año consecutivo, el Día Internacional del Jazz con este concierto de primerísima en su reconocido espacio, el Fiesta Sunset Jazz: UNPHU Music - Concierto de Primavera de Ensembles - celebrando el Día Internacional del Jazz 2026
El Fiesta Sunset Jazz y UNPHU Music presentarán dos agrupaciones de estudiantes músicos (Ensembles) bajo la dirección y supervisión de sus profesores; estos presentarán, ante el público del reconocido espacio, repertorios de temas en originales arreglos en el cual cada miembro mostrará el nivel de competencia que ha adquirido en la institución en este primer semestre del 2026.
Este será un colorido viernes … celebrando el jazz en un único, especial e irrepetible evento que … no te puedes perder!!
Este evento está formalmente inscrito y forma parte de las celebraciones oficiales del Día Internacional del Jazz 2026; teniendo el aval de la UNESCO, International Jazz Day y el Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz!

Last December 5, Fiesta Sunset Jazz presented the exceptional event: UNPHU Music & HFMT Cultural Exchange Concert - Winter 2025. This evening featured a special mixed ensemble of students from the Dominican Republic and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany, who are in the country for an exchange program between that institution and UNPHU.
For this special date in April, the Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Jazz en Dominicana will celebrate International Jazz Day for the fifteenth consecutive year with this top-notch concert in its renowned venue, Fiesta Sunset Jazz: UNPHU Music - Spring Concert of Ensembles - celebrating International Jazz Day 2026.
Fiesta Sunset Jazz and UNPHU Music will present: the Contemporary Music Ensemble under the direction of their professor, Sly de Moya, and the Latin Music Ensemble directed by Federico Méndez.
The two student ensembles, under the direction and supervision of their professors, will present a repertoire of original arrangements to the audience of this renowned venue, showcasing the level of skill each member has acquired at the institution during the first semester of 2025.
This will be a vibrant Friday… celebrating jazz in a unique, special, and unrepeatable event that… you can't miss!!
This event is officially registered and part of the 2026 International Jazz Day celebrations, endorsed by UNESCO, the International Jazz Day organization, and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz!
