Join LC LeClair and Marcia Merithew to look for spring warblers in the trees and meadows of Easthampton. Some birds we hope to see are the Black-and-White Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, and American Redstart. This will be a low-key, leisurely walk on flat terrain, likely with plenty of sitting and standing. Everyone is welcome; prior knowledge of birds is not required.
Mutter’s Field Accessible Trail is a 0.35-mile paved/crushed stone trail that can be used with walkers, rollators, crutches, and wheelchairs. There are 6 benches along the trail, as well as a covered pavilion.
Meet at 10:00 am in the paved lot at 413 East St, Easthampton, MA. There are 8 parking spots, including 1 van-accessible spot; carpooling is encouraged. Tick protection is advised. Please note that there are no facilities on-site. Bring binoculars if you have them, a portable chair or mat to sit on, weather-appropriate clothing, and water/snacks if needed. For full details, view the event listing on hampshirebirdclub.org. Limited to 12 participants. Rain date May 18. (E, A)
