Fiber Arts/Sewing: Beginning Sewing Series

This is a series of four 3-hour classes and all supplies are included.

Class meets on four Wednesdays 5:30pm - 8:30pm

• May series: 05/06/2026 - 05/27/2026
• August series: 08/05/2026 - 08/26/2026
• September series: 09/09/2026 - 09/30/2026

During our Beginning Sewing Series you will have the opportunity to enhance your sewing skills under the guidance of our sewing instructor Shannon Marshall. Everything is included! We have the projects, materials, sewing machines, and tools here for you. You are encouraged to bring your own machine in good working condition, with the power cord, foot control, accessories and instruction manual, if available.

We are working on a different project each week and all supplies are included. Our projects are designed to be fun and easy for beginners. It's a small group of 4 to 8 students and we're going to have a great time sewing together! The skills you are learning during this series will set you up for success with any kind of sewing projects you want to get into.

Projects

• Drawstring Bag: learn how to sew a beautiful hem
• Travel Roll-up: make the easiest straps and ties
• Zippered Pouch: learn how to put in a zipper
• Button-up Case: master buttonholes and buttons

Refund Policy: No refunds if you miss a class, arrive late, or have to leave early.

Class length: 4 class meetings, 3 hours each

Class size: 4 minimum, 8 maximum

Age range: All Ages

Instructor: Shannon Marshall, owner of Sonoma County Sewing Company.

Shannon has been a professional seamstress since 1998, a sewing teacher since 2005, and a local business owner since 2017.

Over the years she has worked with many local designers and small businesses, sewing their prototypes, samples, and custom orders

Cancellation Policy: Attendees must register for classes or request cancellations/refunds 7 days in advance. (Some classes may require more time.) Eventbrite fees will be charged to the attendee. No walk-ins.
