Swedish Tomte are a traditional part of "Jul," meant to bring good luck and protection during the dark evenings of Solstice approaching yuletide for hundreds of years. Students will create a pair using traditional wool doll making technique, pre-made felt yardage, needle felt technique and authentic locks from Teeswater and Gotland, a heritage Swedish breed of sheep. Registration is required. This workshop is open to those ages 16- adult. This second overflow workshop is intended for those who wish to recreate their experience from our Sold Out Holiday Season workshop or gift the experience to a friend or family member. Class size is limited.

This workshop will take place at the Castiglia Art Center in the Print Shop on The Roycroft Campus – 21 South Grove St. East Aurora, NY 14052.

Tami Fuller is a second-generation fine fiber artist and educator. Her work integrates the traditional foundations of hand-constructed processes with modern techniques, using foreign objects and metal. She operates her own fiber arts and education company, Blubird Studio, teaching throughout WNY and into the Northeast. Ms. Fuller is an exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and a 2021 Roycroft Emerging Artist. She is curretnly Executive Director of the Roycrofters-at-Large and is the primary fiber art event coordinator for the Arts Council for Wyoming County and a member of the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Society of Artists. She works out of her studio in East Aurora.
