What is Ffowndri: Women in STEM?
A collaboration of women in STEM: a place to celebrate and share ideas and experiences.
Ffowndri: Women in STEM, is a community of STEM professionals looking to grow their network, knowledge and experience in the Welsh STEM sector, over the year there will be a range of events across the Welsh STEM space.
We have 3 incredible speakers lined up:
Laura Alexander - Head of Data Services at Hodge Bank
Laura will be talking about her personal journey into data, how she overcame barriers, and how she tries to make a better world for those who follow in her footsteps by entering the world of STEM. Laura will also share some insight into the incredible, transformational journey Hodge has gone through to use data for good!
Poonum Jarwar - Analytical Development Scientist at PCI Pharma Services
Poonum will be talking about her journey from the village she grew up in to leading scientific projects in the pharma industry in the UK
Liz Cochlin - CTO at Sero
Liz is planning a brand new talk called “The Sweet Spot”- noticing the moments in your tech career when everything clicks – and learning how to engineer more of them!
There will also be an opportunity to network alongside drinks and refreshments, which is provided by IntaPeople STEM Recruitment in Cardiff
