This event is open to all Post-Graduate Students at UAL.
To celebrate the festive season, and the end of a fabulous autumn term at UAL, Post-Grad Community invites you to take part in a festival of crafty workshops at the Canteen at Camberwell College of Arts.
Workshops will be hosted by contributing artists of the Post-Grad Community Family Heirloom. They will be showcasing their unique design techniques used for their Heirloom artwork - students will get the chance to try out these techniques to create cards, decorations and gifts.

Sustainable Christmas Cards by Sarah Taylor
Make Christmas cards using homemade oak apple ink. ·
Walnuts and Oak apples create the most beautiful brown brown/black ink which can be used for drawing, writing or even dyeing. It’s super easy, and sustainable and you’ll be hooked!
Each participant will receive a recipe so they can make their own.
Upcycled Ornaments by V Hayward
Come and make a unique junk modelled hanging decorations by upcycling packaging, bottles and other found objects - please bring some of your own if you can!
We will create fantastical seasonal buildings inspired by the shapes and colours of the materials we use while turning waste into beautiful gifts.
They could be given as gifts or hung as seasonal decorations!
Post-Grad Community
Established in 2013, Post-Grad Community is an inclusive platform for all UAL postgraduate students to share work, find opportunities and connect with other creatives within the UAL and beyond. Find out more.
Post-Grad Community Family Heirloom
To celebrate Post-Grad Community's 10 year anniversary, postgraduate students, alumni and staff came together to design and create The Post-Grad Community Family Heirloom, a collection of 28 unique designs reflecting each artists experiences as a postgraduate at UAL.
The Family Heirloom is currently on exhibition at various UAL College Library sites, and at the end of the year will be donated to the UAL Archives and Special Collections.
This event is for UAL students only, a UAL ID card will be needed to enter the site and attend.
