Festive Cyanotype Printing Workshop

This workshop is led by Annabell Werner, who will show you how to make beautiful blue gift tags and original cards for the festive season using cyanotype printing. We will provide gift tags and paper for you to coat with cyanotype mixture, ready to expose using our extra large Ultra-Violet printing bed at the Darkrooms.

We will provide various festive objects to make prints, however, you may bring your own items, preferably flat or 2 dimensional. You will also be able to draw and paint designs to use for your prints. No previous experience is required to take part in this enjoyable creative workshop - sign up now as places are limited!

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Participants should be aged 16 and over, younger participants are welcome when accompanied by an adult. (All participants will need to register and pay)

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the course?

On-street parking in St Pauls is free of charge at weekends. There is bike parking outside St Pauls Learning Centre and regular bus services along Stokes Croft, a short walk away. The 25 bus runs along nearby City Rd through St Pauls.

What should I bring with me to the workshop?

Feel free to bring festive objects such as fairy lights, tinsel, snowflake stencils or cut-outs, or anything suitably seasonal with interesting shapes especially flat or 2 dimensional items.

Are refreshments available?

Tea, coffee, herbal tea etc is available free of charge at the Darkrooms and Glen's Café will be open for lunch, serving hearty Jamaican food. You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch if you prefer.

What's the refund policy?

You can have a refund up to a week before the workshop - or if your place can be sold to another participant before the start date. The eventbrite fee is non-returnable, sorry.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring proof of registration on paper or your phone.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Please don't pass your ticket on to someone else unless you are buying it as a present.
