The Festival Makers Market is one of the highlights of the Spirit of Tenterden Festival, which returns to Tenterden Recreation Ground from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July 2026. Entirely volunteer-run, the Spirit of Tenterden Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of community, creativity and local talent, with live music, food and drink, entertainment and activities across the whole weekend.
At the heart of the festival, the Makers Market offers a relaxed and welcoming space to browse a vibrant mix of stalls showcasing handmade crafts, artisan products and unique gifts, all created by talented makers and small businesses from Tenterden and the surrounding area. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover something special, support independent traders and meet the people behind the products.
Whether you’re looking for a gift, treating yourself, or simply enjoying a wander through a lively market, the Makers Market is a lovely part of the festival experience for all ages. The market is a free event, open at Tenterden Recreation Ground from Friday from 2pm, Saturday from 10am and Sunday from 11am, making it easy to enjoy alongside the festival’s music, food, drink and family-friendly entertainment.
