This month’s Coffee Connection is hosted and sponsored by Balance Chiropractic & Wellness, led by owner Jennifer Thompson, a trusted part of the Ankeny and Des Moines community for nearly 18 years.

Balance Chiropractic & Wellness is a family-focused practice dedicated to supporting individuals through every stage of life, with a special emphasis on prenatal and postpartum care, pediatrics, and whole-family wellness. Jennifer has recently earned her IBCLC certification, allowing her to also provide lactation support services — creating an even more comprehensive, nurturing experience for mothers and babies.

Rooted in care, connection, and education, Jennifer is passionate about helping families feel supported, aligned, and empowered in their health journeys — especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood.

As a busy mom and business owner, Jennifer understands the balance of family and entrepreneurship firsthand. Alongside her husband, Brian, she stays busy supporting their three daughters in dance, volleyball, piano, and school activities. She is also actively involved in her church community, serving on both the church council and youth board. Having lived in Ankeny for over 18 years, her life and work are deeply woven into the local community she serves.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Jennifer enjoying time outdoors with her family, walking their dogs, tending to their yard and garden, or slowing down with a good book. She brings that same grounded, compassionate presence into every client interaction.

Jennifer will be joining us that morning and will be available for conversation if you have questions about chiropractic care, prenatal and postpartum support, pediatric wellness, or lactation services.
