Maria Artunduaga, Founder & CEO of Samay
Maria is a physician-scientist and inventor with 60+ prizes, publications, and patents. After losing her grandmother to COPD, she left a surgical career to found Samay (“to breathe deeply” in Quechua). She has raised $4.2M to build an AI-powered management platform for COPD. Before Samay, she completed a postdoc at Harvard, started a plastic surgery residency at UChicago, completed an MPH at the University of Washington, and an MTM at UC Berkeley/UCSF. She lives in Mountain View, Calif., with her1-year-old daughter, husband, and three pets.
Wendy Johansson, Cofounder & COO of MiSalud
Wendy Johansson is a 2x startup founder and seasoned product leader dedicated to human-centered innovation and building equitable teams. At MiSalud Health, she leads operations and strategy to deliver accessible, bilingual virtual care for mental and physical health. Prior to cofounding MiSalud Health, Wendy has held impactful tech leadership roles at Amazon, Publicis Sapient and Wizeline.
Mariam Malik, Cofounder & COO of Nema Health
Mariam Malik is the COO and co-founder of Nema Health, a behavioral health company helping trauma survivors recover from PTSD through its intensive, clinically proven, virtual program. Previously she served as the CEO of Genoa Telepsychiatry, which focused on building virtual access to quality psychiatric services for the Medicaid population. She grew the company’s reach to over 3,000 hours of patient care per week, and helping the company scale from its pre-seed stage through two acquisitions, including its final acquisition by Optum late 2018. Prior to Genoa Telepsychiatry, Mariam worked as a strategy consultant in Healthcare Services at LEK Consulting in San Francisco. Mariam received a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from Wharton in Health Care Management.
Hannah Weber, Cofounder & VP of Strategy & BD at HOPO Therapeutics
Hannah Weber is the Cofounder and VP of Strategy & Business Development at HOPO Therapeutics, a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing treatments for heavy metal poisoning and pioneering novel methods for directed radioisotope delivery. Hannah was formerly a Consultant with LEK Consulting's Life Sciences practice in Boston, and completed her MBA and MPH from the UC Berkeley.
Iris Wedeking, Founder & CEO of iDentical
Iris Wedeking, MBA, is the CEO and Founder of iDentical, a clinical stage dental technology company that is disrupting the dental market with the world’s first drill-free, personalized, 3D-printed dental implants. As CEO of iDentical, Iris has raised close to $9M in capital over the past five years. Iris is a two-time founder and CEO. Previously, she founded and scaled a national organization (Kesem) that is now in its 25th year of operation, with over 130 chapters across 44 states. Iris is a visionary leader with deep expertise in business strategy, management and marketing. Prior to founding iDentical, she managed the operations for three dental implant centers in the San Francisco Bay Area and served as a senior marketing research leader building major brands at The Clorox Company. Iris holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a BA from Tufts University. She lives in Walnut Creek, California, with her husband (a dentist) and three children.

Amy Fan, Cofounder of Twentyeight Health and Venture Partner at Predictive VC
Amy Fan is an entrepreneur passionate about advancing health innovations and access. She is a Venture Partner at Predictive Ventures and the former Cofounder, President and Chief Product Officer of Twentyeight Health, a women’s health telemedicine platform focused on Medicaid beneficiaries. Amy led the growth to cover Medicaid in 30 states, served tens of thousands of patients and raised over $15M in venture capital. Previously, Amy incubated and led consumer-focused startups at a venture studio, and was a consultant at Bain & Company. She has been recognized as Inc’s Female Founder 100 and Rock Health’s Top 50 in Digital Health. Amy holds a MBA & MPH from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.
