Billy Sveen, MD, MA, will build an argument for captive equivalence as a minimal standard for captive herpetofauna. (This approach promotes animals thriving rather than just surviving in captivity.)Sveen is a pediatric ICU doctor and bioethicist at the University of Minnesota who has been keeping reptiles and amphibians since childhood.
