Join us on our next book club adventure with local author and publisher Brad Heer! We'll be reading the first book of his epic sci-fi series "The Paladin Code: The Monastery".Here's a little synopsis of what you can expect:
Desperate to live a life of peaceful and solitary adventure, Silvia the chief librarian is preparing for a grand sabbatical away from the Monastery during their busiest event — The Gathering. She wasn't prepared to be tasked with leading a summer camp to entice new recruits into the Paladin way of life at the Monastery. Silvia and her intimate family of Paladins welcome four recruits into their midst for the summer. While Silvia survived the unexpected role of teacher during the summer her world quickly descends into a fight for survival. Will the summer campers make it through their initiation by fire? Can Silvia save what she loves? Will they find a way through the dark times ahead?
