FEATURE: In The Mood For Love (PG)

Heartstopping filmmaking at it’s best. Wong Kar Wai’s back catalogue of stunning films throughout the 90’s hit its pinnacle at the turn of the millennium with this romantic drama set in 1962. The film follows a man (Tony Leung) and a woman (Maggie Cheung) who discover that their spouses are having an affair. As they spend time together, they gradually develop feelings for one another. Shot by maverick cinematographer Christopher Doyle under the meticulous direction of Wong Kar Wai, from the second the film was released in 2000 it felt like it was a classic from a distant past, with its deep emotion and expressive filmmaking.
