Fat Positive Smutty Books Event

Come hang out for an after-hours Fat Hang at Evermore Books, Ottawa’s independent boutique romance-focused bookstore dedicated to celebrating love stories in all their forms.

We’ll enjoy light refreshments, browse books with body-positive and diverse representation, and create space for connection, care, and unapologetic fat presence. This is a low-key, low-pressure hangout designed to be welcoming, easy, and community-centered.

Fat Hangs are for people of all genders and anyone who identifies as living in a larger body. Fat is our chosen word, and we use it broadly to include body-affirming, plus-size, bigger-bodied, curvy, full-figured, and voluptuous folks.

Organized by two Ottawa-based plus-size women, these meetups are about building community, taking up space, and celebrating fat joy. This is about belonging, not just surviving, but thriving.
