Collecter les ordures: le point de vue d’un vidangeur sociologue avec Simon Paré-Poupart
Venez nous rejoindre à la succursale de St-Laurent pour parler d’ordures – oui, vraiment! Simon Paré-Poupart, basé à Montréal et auteur de son essai Ordures! Journal d’un vidangeur (2024), discutera avec Hugues Beaudoin-Dumouchel,et présentera un point de vue unique sur le monde de la collecte des déchets.
L’événement se tiendra exclusivement en français.
Il se terminera par une séance de questions et de signatures. Nos amis de la librairie Le coin du livre seront sur place pour vendre des copies du livre de Simon.

Simon Paré-Poupart
Simon Paré-Poupart ramasse les ordures depuis vingt ans. Ses études universitaires en sociologie et en administration internationale, ainsi que son expérience comme intervenant social n’auront pas eu raison de sa vocation de vidangeur. Ordures! est son premier livre.
Talking Trash: Insights from a Sociologist Garbage Collector, with Simon Paré‑Poupart
This event will take place in French only.
Join us at the St-Laurent branch to talk about trash – literally. Simon Paré-Poupart, a Montréal based author who is known for his non-fiction book Ordures! Journal d’un vidangeur (2024) will be in conversation with Hugues Beaudoin-Dumouchel discussing his book and offering a unique point of view inside the world of waste collection.
Q&A with the audience and signing session to follow. Our friends from Coin du livre bookstore will be on hand selling copies of Simon’s book.

About Simon Paré-Poupart
Simon Paré-Poupart has been collecting garbage for twenty years. His university studies in sociology and international administration, as well as his experience as a social worker, have not deterred him from his true calling as a garbage collector. Ordures! is his first book.
