The Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Iasi together with the Netherlands Embassy in Romania and FAPPR (Forum of Professional Farmers and Processors from Romania) have the pleasure to invite you to the 3rd Agri-food International Conference in Iași.Under the theme “Farming Forward │ Regenerative Practices ● New Generations ● Women Driving Sustainable Agrifood Production”, this year’s edition addresses one of the most pressing questions facing European agriculture:
How do we ensure productivity, competitiveness, and long-term resilience while restoring the natural systems on which agriculture depends?
📍 The event will take place on Thursday, May 7th, starting at 09:00 A.M., in Iași, at Iași City Hall.
Across Europe, the agri-food sector is navigating a complex landscape shaped by climate volatility, soil degradation, biodiversity decline, increasing input costs, and market pressure for sustainability. At the same time, generational renewal and inclusive leadership are redefining the future of rural economies.
Designed as a structured platform for dialogue and exchange, the conference brings together Romanian and Dutch stakeholders, highlighting complementary strengths and practical cooperation opportunities.
Combining strategic insight with field-level experience, the program will offer concrete examples of transition models that balance environmental responsibility with economic performance.
