Visit Helensvale Library these school holidays and create your own fantasy-inspired map.
Celebrate Hobbit Day, marking the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, with an afternoon of cosy crafting inspired by the imaginative worlds of J. R. R. Tolkien.
Using pens and markers, design a map of your neighbourhood, a favourite place, or an entirely new world of your own creation. Fill it with ancient forests, towering mountains, winding rivers and vast plains, and let your imagination hint at hidden dragons and adventures waiting just beyond the horizon.
This program is recommended for teens aged 13 years and over.
