FAMILY NOONDAY PRAYER
Family Noonday Prayer: Strengthening Families Through Faith and Love
Kingdom International and Greater Love Tabernacle COGIC Family Life Ministries invite you to open Juneteenth Week with a powerful outdoor hour of prayer, reflection, unity, and family blessings.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, families, elders, youth, caregivers, neighbors, and community members will gather at the City Hall Artspace Lofts Outdoor Amphitheater in Downtown East Dearborn for Family Noonday Prayer, a sacred community experience created to strengthen families through faith and love.
This gathering begins with welcome and unity from GLT President Miss’y Regina A. Thomas and KI President Dr. Julia Kapilango, opening with Psalm 133:1: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”
Throughout the hour, the community will be led through focused prayers that speak directly to the heart of family life, community wholeness, and generational legacy.
Guests will experience prayers of thanksgiving with Evangelist Denien Jones, lifting gratitude for God’s presence and blessings. The community will then be invited into prayers of faith, encouraging every family to stand strong on God’s promises and believe for what is possible.
The prayer flow continues with Chaplain LaSonya Humphrey leading prayers of forgiveness, focusing on releasing bitterness, restoring relationships, and opening the heart to peace. Guests will then join in prayers of love and compassion, asking for families and communities to reflect Christ’s care, kindness, patience, and unity.
The gathering will also include prayers for family and children, speaking blessing over homes, future generations, and the sacred responsibility of raising children in faith. Evangelist Cherise Martin will lead prayers for community and unity, calling for peace, cooperation, and harmony among neighbors, churches, and families.
Together, the community will pray for the nation and government, asking for wisdom, integrity, righteous leadership, and protection over the people. Prayers for healing will follow, covering physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds with hope, restoration, and faith.
A powerful moment of prayer against generational curses will be led by Miss’y Vivian Samuel, declaring freedom, restoration, and a new creation in Christ for families and future generations. Elder Brice Gilleylen will then lead prayers of dedication and commitment to God’s Word, inviting every heart to surrender, serve, and walk faithfully in God’s purpose.
The hour will close with an Invitation to Christ, Discipleship, and Benediction led by Elder Peterson, sending families forward with renewed commitment, strengthened faith, and the blessing of the Lord.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and come ready for a peaceful, uplifting, family-centered experience filled with reflection, community prayer, family blessings, unity, and faith. Free parking is available.
This is more than a Juneteenth Week event. This is a sacred family memory in the making — a moment to gather across generations, pray with purpose, honor freedom, bless our families, and build a legacy of love that continues long after the day is over.
