Family-Friendly Coney Island Boardwalk Walking Tour

Please join us for a family-friendly all-ages Coney Island, Brooklyn Boardwalk educational walking tour where tour participants will have the chance to learn about the Coney Island and greater Southern Brooklyn history through a progressive lens. We will talk about Coney Island's cultural/historical significance. We will talk about climate change and coastal resiliency in Coney Island and the greater Southern Brooklyn area.

We will give a brief overview about the greater Southern Brooklyn's history including Native American history, African-American history, European-American history and more. We will also learn a little about community health/public health as it relates to Coney Island and the greater Southern Brooklyn area.

Kids and adults will have the chance to do no-tech/low-tech visual bingo park game challenge and there will be a chance to answer lots of historical, cultural, nature/science, climate change/coastal resiliency questions and other trivia questions. (No stress!)

Kids will have the option to check out the sights and sounds of Coney Island (one of at least two small playgrounds on the beach.)

All ages are welcome. This is a family-friendly walking tour. This walking tour and visual bingo challenge is best designed for ages 6 and up.

Your tour will be led by a NYC licensed tour/sightseeing guide Pamela.

Note:

This is a free walking tour for tourists, visitors, NYC residents and others.

EACH PARTICIPANT UNDER THE AGE of 18, must have an adult (18 + parent/ guardian) present for the entire length of the walking tour/visual bingo challenge.

THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF TOUR.

This tour is recommended mainly for adult and child/children pairs.

Please bring comfortable walking shoes that are appropriate for walking on the Coney Island boardwalk.

This is a walking tour only.

Walking tour participants will spend the bulk of our time walking on the Coney Island boardwalk. Our group will also walk around the Coney Island Amusement Park area.

The walking tour does not include rides/leisure time at any of the Coney Island Amusement Parks.

The walking tour does not include swimming or beach leisure activities.
