Craft your own Olympic torch, explore the gallery, enjoy story time, and other Olympic inspired activities. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is available for visitors in the Hull Street Deck.

Beyond the ’96 Games: Atlanta’s Olympic Legacy highlights Atlanta’s unexpected journey to hosting the 1996 Summer Olympics. Despite being considered an underdog, Atlanta triumphed over cities to host the Centennial Games, which introduced new sports and expanded opportunities for athletes. While the strategic efforts of local leaders, whose vision and collaboration led to one of the few financially successful Olympics, the exhibit also uses ephemera, newspapers, and reports to explore critiques of commercialization and the lasting impact on Georgia.
