In our lives and social relationships (whether with a family member, partner, friend, or colleague), the difficulties we face, the recurring obstacles that seem to reappear time and again, or even the development of certain physical illnesses are often influenced by an extraordinary force whose workings are not always visible to our conscious mind: the love and unconditional loyalty we feel toward our ancestors. At times, this loyalty demands that if a member of our family—even someone several generations before us—suffered an injustice (for example, being excluded from the family or denied the respect they deserved) or endured a life marked by suffering due to some misfortune, we unconsciously wish to share in their difficult fate, carrying their burden together with them.During a family constellation, a special energetic field emerges in the space, through which participants gain access to the unconscious of the given family system. They map out the dynamics of how the family operates, as well as the relationships between family members, and in doing so, reveal the entanglements of fate that may lie behind the blockage. Once this becomes conscious, it becomes possible to return the burden to the ancestor with whom it has been unconsciously carried, out of loyalty to the family.
Family constellation is therefore a group method, usually involving 8–12 participants. One can take part in a constellation in two different roles:
- As a seeker, the participant brings a personal theme, briefly shares with the group the challenge they wish to work on, and the intention they hold for the constellation. Afterwards, the participants they choose to represent family members step into the space, making visible the dynamics of the family system. On a constellation day, there is usually time for up to 7 constellations.
- As a representative, one participates in the constellations of others. Their own family system is not set up, yet they can still gain profound insights and healing. Often, we are chosen for roles that deeply resonate with our own lives, allowing significant shifts and the release of tensions within ourselves.
I facilitate family constellation workshops in both Hungarian and English languages. As a seeker, you have the opportunity to participate in both Hungarian and English-speaking groups. If you come to a Hungarian group, your constellation will be the first one that I translate simultaneously for the representatives and you. After your constellation, you do not need to be present for the rest of the day. Since bilingual work takes quite a lot of extra time, I expect foreign participants as representatives to apply for English-speaking groups.
This group will be a Hungarian-speaking one, so you can register only as a seeker. The participation fee for seekers is 40000 Ft.
