Family Barn Dance

If you’ve never been to a barn dance or ceilidh before, don’t worry! No experience is necessary, all ages and abilities can join in – everyone learns the dances together with the help of the ‘caller’. It's always a fun night, with live music from a fantastic group of local musicians.

Tickets include a simple Ploughman’s supper. (Pre-booking is essential.)

There will be a licensed bar and a raffle with some fantastic prizes.

Please note: Parking is limited, with a small car park at the church, and some on-street parking nearby. Please do think about using other forms of transport if possible.

Proceeds from this event will go towards St Martin's children's activities.

Ally Craigan’s violin skills have graced many Midlands groups, from Dempsey’s Lot and the Tony Burt Band to Bromyard panto. Her full on fiddling is equally at home with sizzling Irish sets or syncopated gypsy jazz.

Singer guitarist Mike Gender brings a Bo Diddley beat and souped-up chords to home grown and international material. His penchant for cheesy country is cheerfully frowned on by the rest of the band!

Graham Foord’s silky mandolin evokes mysterious Moroccan souks – and the run down porches of Louisiana swamp folk.

Driving them all along is Ian Craigan who is Caller for the barn dance. An accomplished and much-in-demand leader of the dance, Ian works all over the Midlands with different bands. He really enjoys a challenge!
