Emily Laura is the heel geek of your dreams - studying pole since 2011, she is known for her elegant style of edgework and flow. She has an incredible wealth of knowledge, with qualifications including L3 yoga diploma, pre and postnatal corrective exercise, in addition to pole instructor certifications.
Emily Laura is skilled at helping her students to understand the mechanics of moves whilst developing their own movement style.
Emily regularly guest performs and sits on the judging panel for both UK and international competitions, as well as featuring on podcasts and panels.
She runs an online platform, emilylaura.com as well as teaching workshops, bringing her specialised edgework, heels and flexibility classes to students across the globe.
Emily is also a mum to 3 boys, and a passionate advocate for disabled rights and inclusion in support for her eldest son, Arthur.
Workshop 1
12pm - 1.30pm
EDGEWORK MASTERY
Step into the art of edgework with this technique-driven workshop. Using a collection of carefully crafted pathways, you’ll explore the foundations and finer details of this captivating style. From glides and slides to breaks and carves, you’ll refine your movement, sharpen your control, and elevate your heels technique to a new level of precision and flow.
You need to be able to walk, pirouette and perform basic spins in your heels, and be comfortable with split grip (upright, from the floor)
Workshop 2
1.45pm - 3.15pm
TWIRL
Discover enchanting legwork with elegant lines, twirls, loops and endless extensions. In this workshop, you’ll learn a flowing sequence that weaves around the pole and across the floor, seamlessly linking each element through exquisite leg articulation.
Expect to leave with fluid pathways, mesmerising movement, and legs that truly captivate.
This class will start with a mobility warm up designed to help you access and increase your range of motion.
You will need to be comfortable with basic spins, and pirouettes (in heels or barefoot) kneepads are recommended
Each workshop is £45 or book both for £80
Payment secures your space.
Workshop spaces are non refundable but if you can no longer attend you may sell your space (please clear this with the studio first)
