Family Art & Nature Sensory Workshop

A guided sensory activity using taste, touch, smell, and sound, encouraging families to slow down, explore, and notice the world together.
About this Event

This event is focused on families within the borough of Barking.

All workshops are on a Sunday:

AUGUST 2/ 9/16/30 and SEPTEMBER 6

All workshops start at 11am and finish at 12:30pm (90 minutes).

Please arrive 10 minutes before, to settle in.

Dress for a mess! We’ll be painting and creating, so leave your nice clothes at home.

This event is suitable for 5 years old and upwards.

All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This experience focuses on shared pair-bonding and creating together.

We will be exploring nature, therefore participants have to address any allergies before taking part.

The workshops are carried out at: Company Drinks, Outdoor Bowls Pavilion in Barking Park (IG11 8TA). From Dagenham, it is easiest to take the District Line or C2C train to Barking Station, then walk roughly 10 minutes to the park.

Public Transport from Dagenham:

1. Train/Tube: Head to your nearest station (e.g., Dagenham East, Dagenham Heathway, or Dagenham Dock) and travel to Barking Station.
2. Walking from Barking Station: Turn left out of the station, walk down Longbridge Road, and go straight over the major roundabout.
3. Park Entrance: After a few minutes, you will see the large park gates on your left. Enter the park and follow the signs to the car park/Outdoor Bowls Pavilion.

By Car / Taxi (approx. 4.5 miles from central Dagenham):

• Route generally takes about 20–25 minutes via the A124 (Rainham Rd S to Reede Rd, Parsloes Ave, and onto Longbridge Rd in Barking).
