No8 Distillery is thrilled to host Christchurch’s multi-award-winning Mind Your Temper for an exclusive series of hands-on chocolate classes. Whether you’re looking for some creative time with your little one or a dive into the world of fine spirits and plant-based confectionery, we have a class for you.Family Sessions- Recommended for ages 6 and over.
A Sweet Bonding Experience
Time: 9:00AM &11.30AM (up to 2 hours)
Price: $60 per person (Children ages 6-10 must be assisted by an adult)
Size: Limited to 12 spaces for an intimate, personalized experience.
Skip the complex theory and dive straight into the fun! This session is all about tactile creativity and building sweet memories.
• Creative Play: Let your child’s imagination run wild as they craft their own chocolates.
• The Takeaway: Each participant will go home with handcrafted, heart-shaped chocolates made with love.
• Plant-Based Goodness: Work with delicious, vegan-friendly ingredients like speculoos paste and rich nut butters.

Elevate your chocolate game in the atmospheric surroundings of No8 Distillery. This is a deep dive into the "bean-to-bar" world. Enjoy a No8 Welcome Cocktail plus pair your chocolate testers with No8 Distillery fine spirits.
Chocolate Immersion: Taste your way through a secret stash of local NZ bean-to-bar chocolate while learning about the industry.
Hands-On Craft: Master the full process—from decorating molds with colored cocoa butter to "shelling" (filling) and "capping" (sealing) your truffles.
Technique Focused: We skip the "tempering torture" and focus on the Seeding and Silk methods—achievable techniques you can actually replicate at home.
Gourmet Fillings: Fill your creations with hazelnut praline, fruit gels, and single-origin ganache.

We are a proudly plant-based business. We use no butter, cream, or dairy.
Ingredients: We use rich nut butters (hazelnut, almond, pecan), speculoos, and fruit gels.
Allergens: Please be aware we use Soy, Nuts, and Gluten. Let us know of any specific allergies upon booking.
What to Wear: Chocolate is messy (and that’s half the fun!). Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little cocoa butter on. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. We will supply aprons to keep you as tidy as possible.
