We're inviting parents, guardians, and caregivers to join us for our next Family Advocate Workshop: Advocating for Your Child’s Learning and Academic Success, taking place Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at McCaskey East, Room B123.
This free workshop is part of an ongoing series designed to empower families with tools and knowledge to support their child’s learning journey. Led by SDoL’s Office of Educational Access and Opportunity, this session will explore practical strategies for effective communication with teachers, understanding your child’s academic progress, and becoming an advocate in every stage of their education.
Childcare will be provided, making it easier for families to participate and engage in meaningful conversations with district staff and other caregivers.
By creating space for open dialogue and collaboration, we’re building stronger connections between home and school because when families are informed and engaged, students reach their fullest potential.
