Fonta Flora State Trail Wolfpit Access and Parking | Morganton, NC

We will meet at the Wolfpit Access Parking Lot on NC 126 at 1 pm. Due to limited parking, we will carpool down to the "Orange Gate". On this hike, we will take the Blue Dot Connector Trail for 2 miles to the Faulkner Flats Intersection and then return to the cars at the Orange Gate. This moderate hike is around 4 miles roundtrip. The pace will be "family friendly/party pace" but participants should be able to hike 4 miles on up and down terrain. We will stop to check out an old graveyard and look at the changes on the Linville River due to Helene. Bring water and snacks!
