Overmountain Victory Trail is pleased to announce an exciting event made possible through some amazing partnerships with the Partnership for the National Trails System, NC250, and the Museum of the Cherokee People. The Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail travels for 300 miles through the tribal homelands of the Cherokee and Catawba people. It was the traditional knowledge of these peoples' indigenous foodways, survival techniques, and mountain trails that made possible the rapid and successful journey of the Overmountain Men during the American Revolution.
Come join us along the OVT at the CoMMA Performing Arts Center in Morganton, NC on November 1 for a day of sharing and learning with the Museum of the Cherokee People, their cultural specialist program the Atsila Anotasgi, and Cherokee storyteller Kathi Littlejohn.
Concessions will be available!
Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details to come!
