Fall Equinox Hike & Sing

In Santa Cruz this moment of balance between day and night can feel like endless summer! But the seasons are changing and offering us a wonderful opportunity to sing our thanks for all we've received so far this year, and to set our intentions for the coming fall and winter cycles. We'll gather in the beauty of the fields among the oaks and jays, and gaze out upon the ocean as we lift our voices and hearts in joy.

No singing experience needed — everything is taught in an easy to follow call-and-repeat style.

This event is a fundraiser for the Walnut Avenue Family and Women's Center, whose mission is to end cycles of trauma, support lifelong learning, and promote healthy relationships with oneself and others. Approximately 20 domestic violence incidents happen DAILY in Santa Cruz County. For 2024 Walnut Avenue hopes to expand capacity for immediate need of safe overnight accommodations for those fleeing from intimate partner violence in our community.

• The hike is 1.25 miles each way, with moderate hills, in Moore Creek Preserve
• Bring a blanket to sit on, water, and any snack you may need
• Parking is on Shaffer just off Hwy 1, when you register you'll receive directions (don't go to the Meder Street entrance)
• Please plan to be parking at 9:45, the hike will begin promptly at 10
