DANCE-MAKING + TECHNIQUE (ages 7-10) ** 12 WEEK SERIES! **

With a performance in Hatchery's Fall Showcase, DECEMBER DATES TBD

In the Workroom of the Northampton Community Arts Trust building, 33 Hawley St., Northampton, MA. This registration is for the 5-week Winter/Spring Session with classes on Tuesdays from April 29 - June 3rd, 2024.

These movement classes consist of a Modern Dance warm-up followed by a choreography lab. During our choreography lab, we will focus on using objects and costumes as duet partners and source material. We will experiment with various ways to make dances, both uncovering themes through physical research and allowing predetermined concepts to drive choreographic inquiry. This class will create a short work to perform in the Hatchery Dance Company Spring show June 14-15, 2024!
