Unlock the exciting world of amateur radio with our Technician Class License Course! This comprehensive program is designed for beginners eager to explore the fundamentals of ham radio and earn their FCC Technician Class License—the entry-level license that opens the door to a vibrant global community of radio enthusiasts.
This is a 4 week class with classes held every Tuesday and Thursday from October 7 through October 30 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
In this course, you’ll learn:
• Radio Basics: Understand how radios work, including frequency bands, modulation, and signal propagation.
• Operating Procedures: Master the essential skills for communicating effectively and responsibly on the air.
• Rules & Regulations: Gain a solid understanding of FCC rules, licensing requirements, and operating privileges.
• Safety Practices: Learn how to set up and operate your equipment safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Get:
• Engaging lessons with clear explanations and practical examples.
• Interactive quizzes and practice exams to prepare you for the FCC Technician License test.
• Hands-on guidance for using popular amateur radio equipment.

Cost of the Class:
The cost of the class is $50 and includes the required book. If you have already purchased the book the cost is $25. Upon successful completion of the class, students will receive a $25 gift card for Mountain West Firearms to be used in store.
By the end of this course, you’ll be ready to pass the FCC Technician License exam and start enjoying privileges like operating on the popular 2-meter band, connecting with local and global ham radio networks, and even experimenting with digital modes and satellite communications.
