Tenth Muse Dance is pleased to offer a 9-week Fall Beginning Belly Dance class session taught by Erin Mariele. This class will be focused on building on basic belly dance and fusion belly dance technique as well as learning a short choreography. Techniques include body isolation of various muscles within the core and is considered low impact. Though we promise you'll definitely get a sweat going and a great core workout. No experience necessary to register for the class. (MINIMUM ENROLLMENT for class to run is 4 students).
This class will include a warm-up, conditioning of the most commonly used muscles and joints, drills, and a choreography that will be taught over the 9 weeks. Students will have the opportunity to perform the choreography along with their classmates at our "Return to Shadows" Spring Belly Dance Show and receive free admittance to the show when performing. Performance is always optional and is not a requirement to enroll in the class.
The course session will run Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 pm starting Tuesday August 17, 2024 and will run through Tuesday October 22, 2024. With one week off of regular class October 8, 2024. BE SURE TO REGISTER IN ADVANCE BECAUSE THIS COURSE WILL ONLY RUN IF MINIMUM ENROLLMENT IS MET.
Attire for the class: Form fitting yoga shirt and pants, bare feet, socks, or dance shoes. Street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor. Please bring a yoga mat as it is needed for warm up and conditioning. A water bottle, towel, and yoga blocks are suggested items to bring.
Cost is $100 for the 9 week session if all sessions are paid in advance. An 8 week option is also available for folks who cannot make the first class or one out of the 8 weeks. Payments for the session may also be split into 2 equal payments of $55 paid at week 1 and week 5 when each half is paid in advance. Students may also purchase as single drop-in class pass for $15.

***IMPORTANT NOTE:*** Make sure you are selecting a BEGINNER pass, there are other pass types for other levels of classes available and if you select one of these, they will not work on Beginner classes an you will be unable to register.
