Fabric on Canvas - Art Class with a difference
Date & Time: Classes wil be held on November 20, 2026 and November 21st 2026 at 1:30 PM. Come on either day or both days!
Venue: Petaluma Arts Center
Travel through history with Zaneta in this fun and vibrant session celebrating the rich legacy of African prints and textiles, which go way back before the 1800s. Admire the textures & colours that have inspired generations, then get creative by bringing that versatility to life on canvas.
This class is open to all ages, and materials will be provided—so just bring your enthusiasm and maybe your best dance moves for when inspiration strikes!
It’s an excellent chance to craft a unique holiday present and make some new friends along the way. Who knew history and art could be this much fun?
Notes: Attendees should bring their own pair of scissors. 12"x16" canvas panels will be provided but you can bring your favourite paint brushes and canvas not larger than 12"x16". We will be using acrylic and/or water colour paints.

Class duration: 2 hours
Class size: No Minimum, Maximum 20 per day.
Materials Fee: No fee for materials. Attendees will be able to purchase a takeaway pack @ $10 each.
Tickets: Tickets will also be available at the door on the day.. Cash only. Please have exact amount thanks
Safety Considerations: We'll be using scissors.

Info: A quick journey across the continent, skimming through fabrics. The unique culture and the tradition behind authentic ancient cloth and shaping modern fashion design and artwork.

Creativity on Canvas
Info: Hands-on creativity. This session will draw on your imagination and inspiration using fabric on canvas and mixed media paints. Materials will be provided including 12"x16" canvas panel boards.
