Fabric Collage and Free-motion Machine Embroidery Workshop – Holly Capstick

£70 plus £5 for materials
In this exciting workshop, participants will learn how to layer fabrics in a loose collage style, and then use free-motion machine embroidery to add delicate line-work using free-motion machine embroidery.
Holly will guide you in how to prepare and choose a plan for your artwork – there are templates to choose from or bring your own floral images to work from. You will be shown how to transfer to fabric and choose from an array of fabrics to create your collage layer. In the afternoon, Holly will show you how to set up your sewing machine (provided) for free-motion embroidery and talk you through the process, with time to practice. You will then work on your floral design, with lots of examples to inspire you. You will create a beautiful artwork, with the option to add paint or hand-embroidery too.
