Exploring Trees

Enjoy exploring trees and how to print them in my Devon Studio. We will draw trees, considering sillhouette, texture and light. Using our drawings we will explore how to create linocuts of trees on a4 lino. You may choose to use the reduction method to add layers and colours too. I will guide by demonstrating drawing, cutting and printing with a press. I will show you how to register your prints (in two different ways) and you will find out lots about layers, colours and printmaking. As this course is over a longer period we will be able to enjoy oil based inks, and layers should print well as everything will have plenty of time to dry.
