Where to Meet
The Hamilton Bay Trail is located in the Hamilton area of Novato. We will meet in the parking lot near South Hamilton Park, at the intersection of Hangar Avenue and Maybeck Street. There is ample parking in the vicinity and a porta-potty near the meeting point. Should the lot be full, you can park in the neighborhoods along Maybeck St. and Presidio Dr. Please note: parking is only allowed on one side of the street.
From San Francisco (Northbound Highway 101): Take Nave Drive exit (after Lucas Valley Road). Stay on Nave Drive (going north) and turn right onto Main Gate Road. Continue onto Palm Drive, turn right on South Palm Drive, then turn right on Hangar Ave. Follow until you reach the parking lot. We will meet there before heading out.
Notes
Bring water, a sun hat, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, and a snack. Bring binoculars, if you like.
